Thundering paws a tongue on your face
a jet-propelled tail and furry embrace.
Scatter rugs flying as part of the din
a lively commotion to welcome you in.
A few hugs and pats and tossing the ball
pup settles down and comes when you call.
To sit by your side as you heave weary sighs
with his water bowl ears and endless love eyes.
